Emma treats the porcelain like a canvas. All the drawing, mark making and detail is added when the clay is rolled out flat as a thin slab form. When constructed into the vessel, it becomes a different form with something to see from every angle. Each piece is a true original, with something new to appreciate each time you examine it.

Oxides, glazes and lustres are built up in various layers to achieve the subtle colourings and each vessel has three kiln firings, with the top temperature reaching 1300c.
