This hand-built stoneware ceramic vessel from the ROOTS collection features a flattened, slab-constructed tear profile with heavily textured, sculptural surfaces. Features flat or slightly curved broad faces joined at sharp side edges. A soft gradient transitioning from pale cream and bone-white near the top to cool slate grey, steel blue, and dark charcoal near the base. Terracotta red, rusty brown, and charred charcoal-grey highlights run throughout the surface details and deep incisions. Features a prominent, deep-set root-like line in reddish-brown clay that winds across the surface. The back face is marked with impressed honeycomb patterns and handwritten cursive script running vertically along the left edge.
